York Hearts FC's fixture in last Thursday's Playfootball league descended into farce when their scheduled league match against Network Rail was called off. A substitute team, York Goochers, were brought in as last minute replacements thus turning Thursday's match into a meaningless friendly. Despite that, an outstanding all round team performance took YHFC to a 5-4 victory in what has been described as the best performance of the season. No points for that win but the good news was that an 8-0 victory and 3 pts were awarded to YHFC for the league fixture. 2 wins in 1 evening certainly has lifted spirits at the club and has prompted a team building exercise at the White Horse this very evening (details to follow in separate post).
