6th time lucky?
York Hearts will once again go looking for their first win of the season, when they take on Gash FC at 9pm on Tuesday, in the Football Mundial Championship.
The Jambos have drawn two and lost three in the league so far, but have been buoyed by an improved performance last week against table-topping Elvington Floorcraft.
Hearts led 1-0 early in the second half, before being undone by an astonishingly unjust penalty decision, when Sam O was punished for stepping inside the box, despite the ball being out of play for a corner-kick at the time.
After that, Floorcraft scored twice more in quick succession, to leave Hearts harbouring a sense of injustice.
All spectators are welcome on Tuesday.

Still to get started
York Hearts FC are still looking for their first win of the season, after going down 1-0 to Knit One Pearl One in the Football Mundial Championship. A thoroughly disappointing performance means the Jambos now have just two points from four games, emulating the real Hearts' lousy start to the season. Hopefully, like the big team, we can bounce back in style...

Up and running
YHSC made their third trip of the season on Saturday, and their ninth overall, when two car-loads travelled north for the 4-2 demolition of Rangers at Tynecastle. After the defeat by Barcelona and the draw with Gretna (there's two teams that don't belong in the same sentence!) it was good to finally get a win.
All aboard the Jambo bus
Bookings are now being taken for places on the minibus to Hearts v Falkirk on October 6. The match kicks off at 3pm, meaning a departure from Toft Green at 8.30am.
Travel, as ever, is £15 for members and £20 for non-members. Post here, yorkhearts@yahoo.co.uk or phone/text 07791 626238 if you wish to go.

Next up for York Hearts
York Hearts return to league duty in the Football Mundial championship tomorrow night, against Knit One Pearl One. KOPO are the reincarnation of Real Skint, against whom we won 3-2 and lost 0-1 last season.
The match kicks off at 8.30pm at Huntington, and all spectators are welcome.
The Jambos, who are still seeking their first win of the season, will be without the management due of Warner and McCafferty, while defensive stalwarts Brian Dall and Gavin Aitchison are still out with hamstring and appendix injuries respectively.

Hearts on telly
Two more Hearts SPL games have been chosen for live broadcast by Setanta. The match away to St Mirren scheduled for 29 September will now be on Sunday 30 September, and the match at Gretna scheduled for 24 November will now be on Sunday 25 November. Both games kick-off at 2pm, and we'll be meeting in the White Horse in Bootham for both.
Week off
York Hearts FC have a week off from the Football Mundial Championship this week. The number of teams in the league thsi season means each side must have a few blank weeks - this is the first of several for us.

Hearts on the telly
York Hearts will be meeting in the White Horse on Monday night, to watch Motherwell v Hearts on Setanta. Kick-off is 7.45pm. All members and non-members welcome.
Up next for York Hearts
York Hearts FC's next game is against Crazyfruitbat.com on Tuesday night. The game kicks off at 9pm on pitch 2 at Huntington. Crazyfruitbat did the double over us last season, winning 1-0 and 2-1. We've started this season with two draws, so hopefully it will be third time lucky for the Jambos.
Hearts will again be without the defensive duo of Brian "Ibby" Dall and Gavin "Gavstro" Aitchison. Dall is still recovering from a hamstring injury, while Aitchison is likely to be out until October, after having his appendix out. The doctors say the appendicitis was caused by him splitting his sides when someone said Badger had bought a round at the White Horse.
