York Hearts' Tuesday team recorded their third goal-less draw of the season this week, against O'Neills at Huntington.
The first half was largely uneventful, with chances at a premium. Steve Carroll came agonisingly close for Hearts after cutting in from the left, but his rasping effort was turned past the post for a corner.
At the other end, Gav Aitchison did well to save a shot low down to his right.
Hearts proved more of a threat after the break and had chances to win the game late on, but could not find the net.
The squad was: Aitchison, Carroll, Ong, Catanach, Beattie, Bedingham, S. Outing.
Gav and Barclay shared the man of the match award.
In the Thursday night PlayFootball league, Hearts take on the Viceroy at 7pm. Hearts lost 8-2 in the corresponding fixture back in March.

Hearts edged out in 9-goal thriller
York Hearts fell to a 5-4 defeat in PlayFootball on Thursday night, as their up-and-down season continued.
The Jambos began brightly, and stormed into a 3-0 lead in the first half. But defensive lapses allowed Deportivo lack-of-talent to haul themselves level, before going on to take all three points.

Jambos Jambos Uber Alles
HMFC are considering a pre-season tour to Germany this summer.
Given the club's spectacular failure to qualify for Europe once again, this is our only hope of following the Jambos abroad any time soon. The tour has still to be confirmed, and (if it is) we don't yet know who, where or when we'd be playing but, provisionally, anyone up for following Das Jambos on tour?

York Hearts' Tuesday night team slumped to another defeat this week, going down 1-0 to Clive Owen at Huntington. Neither side played particularly well, but the blues got the winner midway through the second-half, strolling through the Hearts midfield and defence, before rifling past the flat-footed Aitchison.
The Thursday team are in action at Clifton Moor tonight (8pm) against Deportivo lack-of-Talent. Hearts lost the corresponding game earlier in the season 5-3, so arfe after revenge this evening. Can all regulars please advise Sam whether or not they can play. All supporters welcome as ever.

Away up in Gorgie
There is no organised trip to Tynecastle this weekend, but if anyone is going to either game (SPL v Killie on Saturday, or Robbie Neilson's testimonial on Sunday) feel free to post here to see who else is going.
Cheers to those who made it to the White Horse on Monday night. Not our biggest turnout of the season, but then there's less incentive now we're in the bottom half, and we got double-figures at least. Once again, Hearts let us down but no surprise there. The next official trip will be next season.

Raceday countdown
The York Hearts raceday, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the 1998 Scottish Win, is now less than two weeks away. We could really do with knowing who needs tickets and for which sections of the ground and also how many are likely to attend the pre-races buffet at the Ackhorne pub, off Micklegate. They're laying this on especially for us, and we don't want to mess them about by under or over-estimating numbers. The 98 cup final DVD will be on in the pub as well, so you can relive that greatest of days all over again.
Hearts ont' telly
The Falkirk v Hearts SPL match will be shown live in the White Horse, Bootham, on Monday evening. Kick-off is 7.45pm. All members and non-members welcome, for our final televised game of the season. Let's get a big crowd in to end the season - there may even be a post-match curry for those interested.

York Hearts returned to winning ways on Thursday night, with a 6-4 win over MDFC at Clifton Moor.
In a topsy-turvy match, the Jambos struggled before rallying late on to earn a much-needed victory.
After two heavy defeats in their previous two matches, including a 21-2 reverse that spawned the nickname "The Blackjacks", Hearts were desperate to secure three points.
But with Badger missing from the sidelines, Hearts were disorganised early on, and some sloppy defending midway through the first half left allowed MDFC to take the lead.
The Jambos hit back fairly quickly, and went in at the break with a 2-1 lead, only for more defensive lapses to gift MDFC two goals in quick succession in the early stages of the second half.
Hearts levelled to make it 3-3, but yet more catastrophic defending saw MDFC regain their lead within seconds.
Belatedly though, Hearts pulled their socks up and took command of the game, rattling in three goals in the final 15 minutes to seal the win.
Bedo was the star of the show, bagging a hat-trick, with Bruno (2) and Radek also getting on the scoresheet. MDFC hit the woodwork three times and will consider themselves a bit unfortunate but, over the piece, Hearts probably just about deserved the win.
