YHFC "Had a few beers and a curry"

YHFC got royaly stuffed 15-4 by Stillington at the Roko Stafium last night. At times the Jambos played some entertaining football with MOM Sammy Outing scoring all 4 goals. Midway through the second half Stillington seemed to be tireing but unfortunately that was just wishfull thinking on our part. Anyway on to more important things, back at the Horse it was "suited and booted night" with the Jambos looking completely out of place not being in their casuals. Only one non complier in Calum"I dont own a suit"Beattie and one non shower in MOM Sam "I,ll be there later" Outing. We will collect the fines next week.
Curry!!!! We hit Bombay Spice for a well deserved curry and boy was it hot, (ask Stampy Carroll) who also upset Batman Jones when he told him we used to be a good side. When Kev asked when, was told "before you started playing". Good job Kev was half way down a bottle of wine and had taken all his aggresion out on Stillington or we may have had some injury worries for next week.
Back to footie. The season ended last night and we came a creditable 6th in 7,s Premiership. Another 12 points and 61 goals and we would have pipped Polska for 5th place!!!! Next season eh boys!! Next season starts next week, and after footie we have THE 10K RUN meeting.

Hearts of Gold went down like "Miko"

The York Jambos and the rest of the 10k runners decended on Brigantes last night for an evening of "fundraising" and the odd beer or 11. Leeds Brewery kindly brewed a new beer for the occasion called Heart of Gold and true to form, we drank them out of it. "It went down easier than Miko" Ninja the Jambo said.Don,t worry if you didn,t get the chance to try it, Kev has another couple of barrels up his cape, sorry sleeve.
The evening went very well and another £120 was raised for the cancer research charity. Plus 25p for every pint of Heart of Gold sold is being donated too. MC Badger got the customers going and there was huge interest in the pig racing, (small things eh).
HUGE Thanks to Kev and all the staff at Brigantes for a wonderful night. We will be back!!!!!!

York Hearts "Nailed" by Jetscreen

The York Jambos didn,t turn up till half time at the Roko Stadium last night and a 12-1 half time scoreline just about sums it up!!!!!!! If it wasn,t for Rich "arsey ba...rd" Jono, it could have been more of a cricket score. Half time couldn,t come quickly enough and the shellshocked Jambos didn,t know what had hit them. Steve "Stampy" Carroll gave the Middlesboro equivellant of the Braveheart speech which none of us understood and we went into battle!!!!!!!!!

A 4-2 second half win doesn,t sound that great but what aprformance and it could have ben double figures for the maroons. Slick passing, silky skills and some venemous shooting (no not in the pub) left Jetscreen wondering what had hit them and we left the pitch feeling we had restored some pride in ourselvelves.

Back in the pub only four managed the forfiet of "painted nails", WHERE ARE ALL THE FINES?????

Next week you have to turn up at the pub "Showered, Suited and Booted" It is the last game of the season and awards will be handed out so please can we have full attendance and compliance. Sorry but I didn,t have a photo from last night so I thought I,d put one of the Chairman on so you didn,t forget what he looked like!!! LOL. See you Wednesday Mr Chairman. My resignation is in the post!

Blood, Sweat and Beers at Brigantes

Kev "Batman" Jones is hosting a fundraising extravaganza at Brigantes on Micklegate on Wednesday 24th September. It is to raise extra money for Cancer Research on top of the money raised from sponsorship for the 10k run being attempted by 16 York Jambos on the 12th October.
There will be a quiz, a raffle, pig racing!!! and other thing going on but, the most important thing is a special beer is being brewed for us and will be helping raise funds with a donation from the brewry from every pint sold. Look out for "Hearts of Gold" when you arrive.
Please tell all your friends (or even your only friend) about it and lets make it an evening to remember, if we don,t drink too much beer!!!

YHFC "Stunned by Lack Of Talent"

York Jambos were outplayed and beaten 5-1 by bottom of the league Deportivo Lack Of Talent at the Roko Stadium last night. They were never allowed to get into their stride bya side desparate for their first win of the season. Always second to the ball, couldn,t hit a cows arse with a banjo, couldn,t pass wind!!! And worse!!!! We were shocking. Cant think of anything else to write accept Barcs won the MOM award, it wasn,t difficult, Gavstro came second and he didn,t even play. Not even going to mention the team as they are embarassed enough already.
Some great photo,s of the young Jambos in the pub afterwards but i,m sure there were some random ones as the resemblances were slim. Next week its painted fingernails for the boys, lets hope we don,t play like girls again.

York Jambos "fail to rise from the flames"

York Hearts FC went down fighting at the Roko Stadium last night. It all started so well when Ghandi stunned Burton Lane Phoenix with the opening goal early on only for their vetran keeper to pull off some exeptional saves before they started to tear the threadbare Jambos apart. 1-0 after 3 mins became 6-1 after 7!!!!!! Pooor Rich Jono in goal didn,t know what had hit him, but it wasn,t lack of effort or determination on Hearts part, they were torn apart by a younger, fitter and better team. Everyone put maximum effort in to the game and there could have been 7 MOM,s .Kev "batman" Jones and Calum "droopydrawers" Beattie had outstanding games , Rich"Grumpy Arse" Jono was inspired, Alex "Bedo" Beddingham had there keeper wondering what day it was and almost scored from a clearance near his own box, Steve "Stampy" Carroll and Brian "Ibby" Dall kicked shit out of everyone and Gav "Ghandi" Anderson strolled to another MOM performance with a Swashbuckling display and 4 of the five goals scored. The other goal was scored by Ibby with a perfectly placed shot in the bottom corner. No penaltys were missed by the Jambo,s this week but Burton Lane missed from the spot. There player muttered something like "the ugly leeper put him off"

3 forfiet failures this week but the prize, (if there was one) must go to Kev who spent hours making a model of himself which was truer than life itself, Ghandi made apoor "bluetack" effort, Ibby went "Bertie Bassett" and Calum came as himself???? Check out th photo if it worked!!!

Next week you have to bring a photo of yourself when you were 5-6 years old !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scotland

Tomorrow's Macedonia v Scotland World Cup qualifier will be shown live in York Hearts' HQ - the White Horse pub in Bootham.
